This Trojan uses a BHO object during installation.
When launching, the Trojan extracts a file from its body and saves it to the Windows system directory under the following name:
%System%\mswapi.dllThis file is 7680 bytes in size. It will be detected by Kaspersky Anti-Virus as Trojan-Spy.Win32.Iespy.sl.
This .dll file will be registered by the Trojan as a Browser Helper Object. The following registry keys will be created:
[HKCR\CLSID\{e3a729da-eabc-df50-1842-dfd682644311}\InprocServer32]"(Default)" = "%System%\mswapi.dll"
"ThreadingModel" = "Apartment"
[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper
Objects\{e3a729da-eabc-df50-1842-dfd682644311}]
The Trojan then creates a batch file in the current user's Windows temporary directory, launches this file for execution and ceases running. The batch file will delete both the original Trojan file and itself.
